This Cookie Policy explains how Recavo uses cookies and similar technologies on recavolabs.com and in the Recavo application (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site keep you signed in, remember your choices, and — where you allow it — understand how the site is used. “Similar technologies” include local storage and device identifiers used for the same purposes. We group the technologies we use into two categories: strictly necessary (essential) and analytics (non-essential).
2. How we use cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Service: to sign you in, keep your session active, secure your account, and remember your cookie choices. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off through our consent banner.
We use analytics cookies — specifically Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — only to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are non-essential and do not run until you opt in. The GA4 tag is blocked until you give consent through our banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Under the same consent, our marketing site (recavolabs.com) uses Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostics. Sentry loads only after you opt in. It captures technical error data (stack traces, the page URL, browser and device type) and Core Web Vitals performance timings with personal-data capture disabled (sendDefaultPii: false). To help diagnose errors, it also continuously buffers a masked session replay in your browser’s memory — a reconstruction of the page in which all text, form inputs, and media are hidden — which is typically transmitted to Sentry only if an error occurs, and is otherwise generally discarded. Sentry uses your browser’s session storage (a “similar technology”), not cookies, and its data clears when you close the tab.
We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.

Exact cookie names and durations set by Google Analytics are controlled by Google and may change; see Google’s documentation for the current details. The categories and consent behavior above always apply.
4. Consent and how to withdraw it
When you first visit, our consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Until you accept, the GA4 tag and Sentry do not load, and no analytics cookies or similar technologies are set — consistent with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, which require prior opt-in for non-essential cookies and similar technologies.
You can change your choice at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the banner or the site footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection; it does not retroactively delete data already collected while consent was active.
5. Third-party cookies
The only third-party cookies we use are set by Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC), and only after you opt in. Our marketing site also loads Sentry (provided by Functional Software, Inc.) after opt-in for error diagnostics; Sentry does not set cookies — it uses session storage — but it is a third-party subprocessor like GA4. Google and Sentry process this data as our subprocessors; see the Subprocessor List and the Privacy Policy for details on this processing. Each provider’s own handling of data is described in its privacy documentation.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service, including sign-in. Browser controls for blocking cookies apply per browser and device, so you would need to set them on each one you use. Guidance is available in the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the cookies we use change. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, refresh the consent banner where appropriate.
